Custom turn of the century 12 gauge Belgian Rival No. 7 Coach Gun. Numbers matching (serial number 97588). This old gal has the most beautiful brass repair on the wrist of the stock, performed by some amazing but unknown artisan long ago. It gives her a unique, classy and badass look. Factory engraving on the receiver and forend. The barrels have been shortened to 18.25” and sport and hand-shaped and polished brass "Hillbilly Aphrodite" front bead. Barrels are marked "Fine laminated" and have been shortened to 18.5", chambers lengthened to 2.75". The bores have some shine to them and show minor pitting not uncommon with shotguns of this vintage. The gun was completely disassembled, and the internals were ultrasonically cleaned and lubed. Gun locks-up tightly, the triggers function as they should, and the hammer fall is sharp. The stock was shortened by 1”. The butt plate is hand-shaped from a beautiful piece of African Wenge wood and is attached with polished brass hardware. The specimen shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age. (the photos tell the story). A very cool little beast of a coach gun and a fine shooter.
