Custom, turn of the century, rabbit ear coach gun in 10 gauge. Remington Model 1882 (Serial #10772). Numbers matching. The Damascus barrels have been shortened to 18.5” and have a nice patina to them. The barrels sport a hand-turned brass "Hog Knocker" front bead. The chambers have been lengthened to 3.5". Bores show very minor pitting that is common with shotguns of this vintage. The gun was completely disassembled, and the internals were ultrasonically cleaned. The action functions well and the hammer fall is sharp. Triggers are crisp and responsive. Gun locks-up tightly. The stock is coated with 10 layers of my own “White Lightning” shellac. The stock was shortened by 1” and two hairline cracks near the wrist were secured with two sturdy bamboo dowels. The butt plate is hand-shaped from South American Purple Heart wood and secured with polished brass hardware that match the hammer screws and trigger guard screws.

This old beauty shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age. (the photos tell the story). She's a great little shooter and is a very cool beast of a coach gun.

Custom turn of the century 12 gauge Belgian Rival No. 7 Coach Gun. Numbers matching (serial number 97588). This old gal has the most beautiful brass repair on the wrist of the stock, performed by some amazing but unknown artisan long ago. It gives her a unique, classy and badass look. Factory engraving on the receiver and forend. The barrels have been shortened to 18.25” and sport and hand-shaped and polished brass "Hillbilly Aphrodite" front bead. Barrels are marked "Fine laminated" and have been shortened to 18.5", chambers lengthened to 2.75". The bores have some shine to them and show minor pitting not uncommon with shotguns of this vintage. The gun was completely disassembled, and the internals were ultrasonically cleaned and lubed. Gun locks-up tightly, the triggers function as they should, and the hammer fall is sharp. The stock was shortened by 1”. The butt plate is hand-shaped from a beautiful piece of African Wenge wood and is attached with polished brass hardware. The specimen shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age. (the photos tell the story). A very cool little beast of a coach gun and a fine shooter. LOP is 12” and 13”. Overall length is 34”.

Up for auction is this custom 10 Gauge. W.W. Greener Coach Gun. This is one badass Huckleberry! I believe this gun was manufactured in 1955 (Serial #25833). Numbers matching. Factory engraved receiver. The barrels have been shortened to 18.25”. Bores are in great condition and are shiny. Hand-polished brass "Feleena's Thorn" front bead. The gun was completely disassembled, and the internals were ultrasonically cleaned. The action functions well and the hammer fall is sharp. I've had a lot of cool coach guns in my day, and I think this one is special.

I. Hollis & Sons custom Coach Gun. 12 gauge.

Up for auction is this sweet little, turn of the century, custom 12 gauge coach gun. Manufactured by I. Hollis & Sons (Birmingham & London) — This is what I think of when I imagine the style of a classic, rabbit ear, double barrel swaed-off scattergun. Numbers matching. The Damascus barrels have been shortened to 18.25” and sport a hand-turned, polished brass "Oblio" front bead." Chambers lengthened to 2.75". Bores are in beautiful shape and are shiny. Gun locks-up tight and triggers are crisp. The gun was completely gone though and the internals were ultrasonically cleaned. The working internals show very little wear. I left the lumber repairs visible because they were just too cool to hide. The butt plate is hand-shaped from a piece of African Wenge wood and attached with polished brass hardware. This old gal shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age (the photos tell the story)... It's a very cool little beast of a coach gun.

Custom Western Field Model 30 12 GA riot gun. Take Down. 18" barrel.

You are bidding on this customized Wards Western Field Model 30 (Stevens 520), manufactured between 1927 - 1932. This is the famous "Double Humpback" take down, slam fire version. It's 12 gauge with a 2.75" chamber. I went through this gun from top to bottom, being careful not to remove the incredible character it has acquired through the years. The barrel is shortened to 18.25" and sports a hand-shaped, polished brass "War Hammer" front bead. The bore is in nice condition and is shiny and bright. The butt plate was hand-shaped from a sweet piece of African Wenge wood and attached with polished brass hardware — The action functions well. Sweet stainless Ruger Security Six .357. 4" barrel. Nice condition. Action is tight. Shoot great... I've owned this gun for a while and it's time to let someone else enjoy it. There is a very small serial number on the right side of the receiver that is hardly noticeable in person and is so light that it could possibly be polished out.

Up for auction is this 4.75" Uberti Cattleman 1873 in 45 Colt. Full disclosure: I don't know a whole lot about these guns, but I've had it for a while and just don't use it very much so it's time to let someone else enjoy it... Gun shows some character and wear. Has some pitting on the cylinder and front sight, but still looks pretty good and has much of its original case hardening and bluing The bore is in great shape. It has a light trigger, which I'm not sure if that is common with this model or not, but it shoots great. I've put 60 rounds or so through it with no issues. Here's your chance to be a cowboy!

Butt plate and grip cap are hand-shaped from a beautiful piece Central American Bocote wood and feature polished brass hardware. Edwinson C. Green Cheltenham 10 gauge

Custom 10 GA Coach Gun. E.C. Green. Amazing character! Beautiful gun.

Up for auction is this Custom 10 GA coach gun. Made by Edwinson C. Green in Cheltenham England — Green was known for making high-quality doubles in the late 1800's. Proof markings on the water table date the shotgun's manufacture between 1875-1887... This gun has a beautiful engraved receiver. Barrels are shortened to 18.5", are Damascus steel and sport a hand-turned brass "Feleena's Thorn" front bead. Bores have some pitting common with guns of this vintage. The stock has wonderful vintage repairs including a copper star and diamond. I was careful not to remove the excellent character of the lumber, and finished it off with 10 coats of my "White Lightning" shellac. The butt plate is hand-shaped from Central American Bocote wood. LOP is 13” and 14”. Overall length 34.75”. This beast shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age. Would make a great addition to any collection.

Stevens model 520 riot gun

Custom Stevens 520 "Double Humpback" riot gun clone. Take down. Slam fire!

Stevens Model 520 "Double Humpback" 12 gauge riot gun clone. This is a take-down model that is Slam fire capable. Manufactured around the 1920's. Barrel shortened to 18.5" and sports a hand-shaped, polished brass "Señorita Pleaser" front bead. Bore is bright and shiny. Action functions well. Stock was shortened by 1" and features an oversized, hand-shaped butt plate made from reclaimed American White Oak from a decommissioned bourbon barrel. Stock also has a visible repair made from the same piece of White Oak. The stock was finished off with 10 coats of my custom "White Lightning" shellac. LOP is 13.75”. Overall length 37”.

Custom Ithaca Model 37 Riot Gun — Bureau of Riot Management

Custom Ithaca Model 37 Riot Gun — Bureau of Riot Management — 1950.

Custom Ithaca 37 Riot Gun clone in 12 gauge. Manufactured in 1950. Barrel has been shortened to 18.5", has a nice, shiny bore and sports a hand-turned, polished brass "Debutant's surprise" front sight. The stock has been shortened by 1" and has been engraved with "Bureau of Riot Management" (a fictitious agency that I concocted) and finished with my custom blend of hand-mixed shellac. The butt plate and grip cap are hand-shaped from marbled acrylic and accented with 1/8" thick polished brass spacer plates and hardware. The heat shield is finished with my own special process involving copper electroplating and bluing — The action is tight and this gun is a great shooter. This gun shows beautiful character, imperfections and patina expected with a firearm of its age. A lot of work has gone into into this firearm. L.O.P. is 13.5". Overall length is 37.5".

Winchester 1897 riot gun. Dept. of Riot Mitigation

SOLD: Dept. of Riot Mitigation — Custom 1904 Winchester '97 Riot Gun Clone.

Custom 12 gauge Winchester 1897 riot gun clone manufactured in 1904. Barrel has been shortened to 18.5", has a nice, shiny bore and sports a hand-turned, polished brass "Feleena's Thorn" front sight. The stock has been shortened by 1" and has a mighty, vintage butt plate with polished brass hardware and polished brass spacer plate. The heat shield has a distressed look made with a process involving copper electroplating. The trigger has been polished... The stock has been custom-engraved with "Dept. of Riot Mitigation" (a fictitious agency that I concocted) and finished with my custom blend of hand mixed shellac.

This gun shows beautiful character, imperfections and patina expected with a firearm of its age. A lot of work has gone into into this firearm.

L.O.P. is 13". Overall length is 37"

Ithaca Flues custom Coach Gun by W Kelley Luc

SOLD: One of a kind Ithaca Flues custom Coach Gun. Engraved receiver. 12 GA. 18" barrels.

Up for auction is this customized 1916 Ithaca Flues 12 gauge coach gun. This specimen features beautiful hand-engraved steel that was done by artisans employed by Ithaca at that time. The metal has been polished. The Damascus barrels have been shortened to 18.5" and have pristine, shiny bores and sport a hand-turned, polished "Feleena's Thorn" front bead sight. The stock was rescued by grafting part of an 1880's Belgian shotgun stock and butt plate onto it. The stock has been reinforced with 7 wood dowels and 2 steel rods. LOP is 12.5” and 13.5”. Overall length 34”. The lock-up is tight, triggers are crisp, and it's a great shooter. Everyone needs a custom coach gun, and this one is about as cool as they come — It's definitely the only one like it.

Late 1800's custom W Parkhurst 10 gauge coach gun. Barrels have been shortened to 18.25” and are marked "Belgium Laminated Steel". They have a custom, hand-turned and polished brass "doorknob" front bead. Gun has been completely disassembled, cleaned, and lubed and is tight and functioning. Lock-up is tight. The lumber has been lightly redone, but I was careful not remove the beautiful character. The stock was shortened by 1". The Butt plate is hand-shaped from a sweet piece of South American Purple Heart (Peltogyne), and is attached with polished brass hardware. The bores have minor blemishes but are bright and shiny. LOP is 12.5” and 13.5”. Overall length 34”.

SOLD: Custom turn of the century 12 gauge Spencer Gun Co. “New American” coach gun. 18" barrels

12 gauge Spencer Gun Co. "New American" custom coach gun. Turn of the century. Tons of character. Twist steel barrels shortened to 18.25” and sport a hand-shaped, polished brass "Debutante's surprise" front bead sight. Patina abounds! Shows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of its age... As with all of my custom builds, I leave as much character as possible. Any cracks in the stock have been repaired and reinforced with wooden dowels. As I often do, I didn't hide the repairs, because they just look cool. The stock is finished with several coats of tung oil. The butt plate is 100 years-old and was beat, so I reshaped it and buffed it out then attached it with polished brass hardware and a beige spacer (can be removed if it's not your style). LOP is 12.25” and 13.25”. Overall length 33.5”... Lock up is tight. Gun shoots great.

Up for auction is this custom double barrel, 1908 Crescent Peerless 12 GA Coach Gun. 18.25" barrels with an oversized, hand-turned, polished brass "doorknob" front bead site. The barrels are in great condition and are bright and shiny. Lock up is tight. The stock hows beautiful character and imperfections expected with a firearm of this vintage, as I  didn't want to restore the all the awesome character out of it — Hairline cracks have been pinned and supported with a polished brass strap and screws. The butt plate and grip cap are hand-shaped from a beautiful piece of African Wenge and attached with polished brass hardware. Tons of sweet patina.
